Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We're missing Randall this week, but Kevin & John have all sorts of video gaming goodness to dig into, so let's get right into the action... After teasing it just a little bit last time around, we kick things off by digging into a couple of the latest games to come to Netflix — POINPY and Into the Breach — both of which have been monopolizing a lot of our time, as of late! From there, John moves on to a trio of games that have also had his attention in recent weeks, none of which happen to be Elden Ring, but all of which are AAA experiences — and shares a handful of gripes, as well! Finally, Kevin closes things out with a couple of indie demos that really caught his attention after checking out the opening bits, during a livestream with our pal ParaDyme from the Indie Game Collective.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' Kevin has been pretty busy with getting settled, after moving back to Michigan at the beginning of this month — but he still manages to squeeze in a few quick shoutouts for some of the games that he recently played during the first livestream from the mitten! Randall joins in on the conversation from there for some corporate retail 'reminiscing,' before John jumps in as well — and we chat about everything from the early days of the podcast, to our favorite crock pot recipes...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We've got the full crew in the house tonight, and all sorts of video game nonsense to dig into, so let's get right into the action! Kevin & John kick things off with some more overwhelming praise for Into the Breach after receiving a recent DLC expansion, thanks to...Netflix? From there, Kevin touches on a few more games that he's been sinking his teeth into lately, including the latest release from Sokpop Collective (at the time of recording, anyways) — and also briefly mentions a couple of other gems from Annapurna Interactive, one of which we've discussed before, and one that he's just now finally playing! Finally, John closes things out with some of his initial thoughts on the Sunbreak DLC for Monster Hunter Rise on Nintendo Switch, which has managed to pull his attention away from Elden Ring.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' As always, Kevin gets things started with some of the stuff that he's been playing lately, as he prepares to leave Chicago and head back to Michigan — including finally digging into the opening bits of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and also shining a spotlight on a couple of awesome retro-inspired indie gems, Chico and the Magic Orchards & Skatemasta Tcheco. Randall joins the conversation from there, and we kick around all sorts of video gaming nonsense, with a bit of an emphasis on Nintendo related/adjacent games & topics this week!

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We've got the usual trio back together this week and, of course, all sorts of gaming goodies to dig into, so let's get right into it... Kevin kicks things off with the only 'new release' that any of us has been playing, and gushes all over Frogun in spite of getting his butt kicked in true retro-inspired fashion. Randall continues to hang around in 3D platformer land after that, and shares some final thoughts on Super Mario 3D Land after wrapping up the remainder of the Bowser's Fury campaign! From there, Kevin takes us into 2D platforming territory and digs into the Plague of Shadows campaign — and the Shovel Knight series in general — after it won a recent poll amongst our monthly supporters! Finally, John wraps things up by polishing off the home stretch of his Xenoblade Chronicles 2 save file, in preparation for the recently released third game in the series — and also delves into some various thoughts on JRPGs as an artform in general.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' As always, Kevin gets things started with a quick recap of some of the goodies that he's been digging into lately — including the latest release from Sokpop Collective which dropped on his birthday, polishing off a couple of couch co-op games with DJ, and yet another Conduct Together! session we had with our pal Glenn in town from Seattle! After that, Randall joins in on the conversation and he gets an update on Kevin's moving process, digs into all sorts of wrestling-related nonsense (both AEW + WWE) and much, much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We're running as a duo once again this week, swapping Randall in for John from the last recording session. We're jam-packed as always though, so let's get right into it... We kick things off with a bit of an Xbox tangent before Randall shares some closing thoughts on the remainder of his time with Kirby's latest adventure on the Nintendo Switch. And while we're talking games from Hal Laboratory on Switch, Kevin gives a shoutout to BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL! after almost finishing up the co-op campaign with DJ recently. From there, Kevin keeps the puzzle train rolling, and gives some love to a couple of other games that have been sucking up a bunch of his time lately (when he's not playing Into the Breach, of course) — a brainteasing fungus-filled narrative adventure in She Remembered Caterpillars, and a turn-based tactical roguelike in Undergrave. Finally, Randall takes us back over to Nintendo Land, and shares some of his thoughts on the Bowser's Fury expansion that was added to the Super Mario 3D World Nintendo Switch port!

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' Kevin kicks things off with a bit of a 'sequel' to the previous SIFTC episode — first digging into latest release from Sokpop Collective, before trying his best to maintain a reasonable level of hype for the next game coming down the PUNKCAKE Délicieux pipeline! Finally, he gives a quick shoutout to Monolith, which was recently gifted to us by our pal Mark — the very first listener to ever reach out to us when we first started the podcast — as soon as he heard we had never played it in the Discord. Thanks again Mark! :D After that, Join join in on the fun as we chat about everything from Kevin's surprising level of moving progress, messing around with synthesizers and PICO-8, and even the short-lived blog that Randall & Kevin started up many moons ago...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We're missing Randall this week, but the duo of Kevin & John are back together again to talk all sorts of video game goodness, so let's get right into it... Kevin kicks things off with by diving into a handful of his favorite entries from this year's GMTK Game Jam, including a few from our pals in the Discord! From there, John dives into a couple of Nintendo 64 games that he's been playing on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass lately — including 'importing' the Japanese-only Custom Robo games for the first time, and digging into some multiplayer madness in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. With the multiplayer ball already rolling, Kevin & John dig into a handful of games that they've played together recently, both online and locally, with some of our pals and bandmates!

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' Kevin gets things started this week by saying a brief thank you to our supporters on Patreon, who recently helped us hit our first Monthly Milestone! From there, he takes a little time to dig into one his favorites from the Sokpop Super Bundle so far, Guardener, which is one of their most recent releases. He also takes a few minutes to give a shoutout to MOONPONG, the latest release from PUNKCAKE Délicieux, which releases the same day as this episode! After that, John & Randall join the conversation for a collage of snippets from a recording session a few weeks back, including the woes (and joys!) of living with dogs/cats, information overload, piling up the wishlists, and much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. This week, we've got a whole bunch of various video gaming goodness to dig into, so let's get right into the action... Kevin kicks things off with his latest endeavors on Xbox Game Pass, including the incredibly stylish & mysterious Mind Scanners. From there we kick things over to John, who's been getting a healthy dose of his giant mech anime fix lately, digging into M.A.S.S. Builder in early access, and dusting off his copy of Custom Robo on GameCube. After that, Kevin digs into a couple of his recent livestreams that couldn't have turned out more differently than he expected going into them — including finally giving Spelunky 2 a fair shake, and going back to Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Finally, Randall & John close things out with the latest on each of their Elden Ring campaigns, and it sounds like there's still plenty more where that came from!

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' Kevin kicks things off with a nice and juicy opening segment dedicated entirely to the amazing games from the folks over at Team Bugulon — he digs into their entry from this year's GMTK Game Jam. We'll be digging into some more entries from the jam on an upcoming episode, so stay tuned! After that, we move over to a conversation that John & Kevin had during a duo session a few weeks back, mostly touching some more on Triangle Strategy as John continues to make his way through the campaign.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We're back to our normal audio quality levels this week and digging into all sorts of multiplayer madness, so let's get right into the action... First things first, we dig a little deeper into Mario Strikers: Battle League after getting Randall's first impressions on the podcast a couple weeks ago. Kevin & Randall also ended up playing through the entirety of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge together on Xbox Game Pass, after syncing up for their Strikers session! From there, John & Kevin dig into an online multiplayer session of their own, after syncing up with their bandmates for some Steam Remote Play action! The highlight of the night was definitely Pac-Man 256 — and we wrapped things up with Golf With Your Friends, after struggling to remember what the heck we played before the recording tonight...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' As always, Kevin gets things started with a couple of things that he's been digging into lately — including a recent playthrough of Super Mario World while saving the switch palaces for last, and another developer play + chat session with our good pal Kevin Cole of Super∴Try Studios. From there, John & Randall join the conversation, and we get into all sorts of goodies — including more thoughts on Elden Ring, Formula 1 Racing in VR, Mario's various costumes over the years, and much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. First things first, you'll probably notice right away that we had a little hiccup with John's audio this week, as his computer decided to record the built-in microphone instead of his Yeti — but we're rolling with the punches, because we've got all sorts of video game goodies to discuss this week... Randall kicks us off with his early impressions of Mario Strikers: Battle League, as we find out how well this new entry in the series stacks up to the original?! From there, Kevin fires off a couple of arcade-y indie games from a couple of his favorite indie developers, PUNKCAKE Délicieux & Kultisti — Ecstatic and Curseball, respectively! After that, we kick it back over to John, who has been thoroughly enjoying his time with Moonglow Bay, which has provided some much-needed 'low-pressure' gaming to go alongside all of that Elden Ring & Triangle Strategy that he's been playing lately. Finally, Kevin wraps things up with a puzzle-filled 'metroidvania' of sorts, Elephantasy, which has completely captured his attention — even after having to start the game over from scratch, thanks to a misclick...
