Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. It’s hard to believe it’s been over three years since we started up this project!?! We're shaking things up a bit from the format we've done in previous years, and leaning into more of a roundtable discussion! We're chatting about everything from unique control schemes, games that never got the proper sequel they deserved, multiplayer modes in single player games, and much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' After an unexpectedly hectic week, Kevin gets things started off with a wrap-up of some of his favorite entries from the 2nd annual PPJJGG game jam, which took place over the past couple of weeks! He also played just about every submission on a series of livestreams during the judgement period — Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 Randall joins in on the conversation from there, and we keep the retro ball rolling from last week's proper episode — digging into a little more Shinobi & Sega discussion, the upcoming release of the Analogue Duo, and much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We're missing John for this one, after a failed attempt to record our anniversary episode last week threw our schedules for a loop. That said, Kevin & Randall have all sorts of gaming goodies to dig into per usual, so let's get right into it... Randall kicks things off with an update on the recent Resident Evil 4 Remake that has been soaking up a large quantity of his gaming time, as of late! And later on, he dives into another recent remake, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, which he's been playing co-op with his daughter! Sandwiched in-between those two topics of discussion, Kevin digs into a couple of ninja gaming classics (both indie and retro) that have more than stood the test of time — and even manages to completely mix-up the careers Soren Johnson & Nels Anderson, thanks to an amazing episode of the Designer Notes Podcast.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' Unlike the last few weeks, Kevin's been streaming all sorts of awesome indies lately — including some new stuff from a few of his personal favorites: Harley Wilson, Kultisti, and Johan Peitz — while gearing up for the 2nd annual PPJJGG game jam! John & Randall join in on the conversation after Kevin's done rambling, and we talk about everything from our not-so-secret Pursuing Pixels Spotify playlist, the horribleness of the music industry, handmade tonic water, and much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We've got the trio back in the house once again, and this week we're leaning into some of our recent non-indie gaming! Randall gets things started with a follow-up on his initial impressions of the recent Resident Evil 4 remake — and he also digs into some Mighty DOOM, which he's been firing up on his mobile device as of late! Kevin also follows up on his latest obsession, Everybody's Golf, after being a little bit underwhelmed by the first impression the game left on him a couple weeks back. And finally, John closes us out with a new obsession of his own, after firing up Fantasy Life on his 3DS once again, after Randall's recent chat about the Nintendo eShop closures.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' This week, Kevin kicks things off with a trio of games he's been playing on Nintendo Switch lately while gearing up for the 2nd annual Pursuing Pixels James Jam Game Gam — and also preparing for the 4 year anniversary episode of the podcast, which will be out in a few weeks! From there, the rest of the crew join in on the conversation as we bounce all across the map — from our various noisy electronic devices, to delivery driving in the city, digital storage nonsense, and much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We've got the trio back together once again, and a whole heck of a lot of video gaming goodies to dig into, so let's get the ball rolling... Randall gets things started with some of his initial thoughts on the latest remake in the Resident Evil series — and while we're already in horror territory, we finally get around to discussing Demon Throttle, after tabling it for a weeks running! From there, John updates us on his Metroid Prime Remastered campaign, after ripping through the game in no time flat — and he also shares a little more about his time with Splatoon 3. Finally, Randall closes things out with his early impressions on the Diablo IV Open Beta, after taking a little time to dig in last week!

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' For once, Kevin actually keeps the introduction short and sweet, after a super hectic couple of weeks playing virtually nothing but Everybody's Golf and getting ready for the 2nd annual Pursuing Pixels James Jam Game Gam! After the quick intro, Randall & John join in on the conversation as we dig into all sorts of recent indie games we've been playing, discuss some more of the usual Nintendo nonsense, and even dip our toes into some Sonic the Hedgehog territory...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We've got the whole crew in the house once again and a whole bunch of video game goodies to discuss, so let's get right into the action! We get things started off with a bunch of the online multiplayer gaming that we've all been doing lately, both together and independently. From there, Kevin takes some time to revisit the Super Mario Bros. 3 remake on the Game Boy Advance, before diving into a whole bunch of the Sega Genesis classics (and hidden gems) that are available via the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass. Finally, Randall closes things out with some various thoughts on Nintendo's recent closure of both the 3DS + Wii U eShops, including a handful of snags he made at the last minute...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!' Kevin kicks things off with a little bit of the solo gaming that he's been doing lately — including digging into Kirby's Dream Land 2 in earnest for the first time, and checking out Everybody's Golf on PS4, in yet another fruitless attempt to fill the void left in his heart by Mario Golf Super Rush. From there, Randall & John both join in on the conversation — and we talk about everything from The Three Stooges & Marx Brothers, to the most recent Nintendo Direct, and wrap things up with a little Metroid-focused chit chat!

After that, it's all things Metroid as John & Randall share some of their first impressions on Prime Remastered — and Randall digs into his thoughts on Zero Mission after finishing it for the first time!

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We've finally got the trio back together this week — and it's been a little while since the last recording session — so we've got ALL sorts of video game goodness to dig into... John takes the lead this week with some of his early impressions of NieR:Automata on Nintendo Switch, after previously presuming it would be yet another game he wouldn't get to play thanks to console exclusivity. From there, Randall & Kevin dig into all sorts of retro gaming goodies after spending a full day hanging out in Michigan, hunting down hidden gems, and classics alike, to add to their collections! Finally, we wrap things up with some of the N64 multiplayer action that John & Kevin were getting into on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass, while Kevin was recently back in Chicago.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. Randall & Kevin are back at it again this week, squeezing in a marathon recording session before some upcoming travel plans — and it's also our 200th episode of the podcast — so let's get right into the action! Randall gets the ball rolling with a whole bunch of Apple Arcade games that he's been playing around with, after getting his Apple TV all set up — and synced up with his brand new DualSense 5 controller. From there, we veer into another discussion about retro gaming in the modern era, after Randall brought along his Analogue Pocket on a recent trip and fired up some classic Mario Sports games on the Game Boy Color...
